The sub-par schools were thought to churn out too many diploma’s to undeserving students and by 1930 the number was reduced again to 76. The University of Washington has been noted recently by the US News and World Report was ranked one of the best medical schools based on their primary care programs. Harvard also topped the list of best medical schools due to their quality research initiatives. In addition, the University of California in San Francisco was the only school on their list to make the top ten list of medical schools based on both primary care and research.
This list is always the subject of intense debate, however, because the majority of educations from medical school institutions are high in quality. The factors that determine this list are also debatable. All in all, quality of medical education and practice always comes down to the student.
